MS Wissenschaft − Bioeconomy

MS Wissenschaft is a floating science center with exhibits to try out and participate in

Wooden T-shirts? Furniture made of popcorn? Agriculture in the city? - The inland vessel MS Wissenschaft (MS Science) is touring Germany again this year. On board: an interactive exhibition on the bioeconomy, which focuses on renewable raw materials, recycling management and the recycling of waste materials.

On the MS Wissenschaft touching is explicitly allowed! Here it is not (only) to look and marvel, but also to try out and participate. Interactive exhibits invite people of all ages to become active themselves, deal with a question and get to the bottom of things. The approximately 30 hands-on exhibits in the cargo hold of MS Wissenschaft show what an economy based on renewable resources can look like.

MS Wissenschaft will start its tour on 30 July 2020 in Münster and visit a total of 19 cities in Germany by mid October.

On board, the Fraunhofer IGB shows according to the motto "Clean laundry thanks to fungi" its bio-washing machine to demonstrate how optimized biosurfactants can be produced from renewable raw materials using microorganisms.
