The analysis of biological organisms on the basis of their DNA sequencing is – with the corresponding methods to be developed (sample preparation and bioinformatics) – universally applicable, either for the diagnosis of infections in medicine or for the identification of microorganisms in industrial and environmental biotechnology.
This enables innovative, novel diagnostic platforms – Next Generation Diagnostics.
