Alexander Beck studied Life Science Engineering at the Friedrich‑Alexander University in Erlangen‑Nürnberg where he graduated with a Master of Science in 2016.
In January of 2017, he joined Fraunhofer IGB as a PhD candidate at the University of Stuttgart and has since been working in the innovation field Industrial Biotechnology as a scientist.
His current research interests cover the optimization of microbial fermentation processes, for example for the production of biosurfactants or enzymes, as well as enzymatic processes for the modification of plant oils.
