Tamang, Pravesh Dr.

Industrial biotechnology – Bioprocess engineering

Dr. Pravesh Tamang is a bioprocess engineer and an expert in the field of polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) biopolymers production from sustainable and renewable material, such as the industrial waste stream through bacterial fermentation.

He aims to transfer the PHA production process from lab to industrial scale. His research also focuses on the downstream processing of the PHA biopolymer to develop sustainable and cost-effective ways to extract and purify PHA.

Since January 2023, Dr. Tamang is working as a scientist at Fraunhofer IGB.
